Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Woodbury

Two to four inches of snow expected for Twin Cities area, Woodbury.

Expect the Tuesday morning commute to be messy and slow-going.

The National Weather Service in Minneapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Twin Cities area, including Woodbury.

A band of light snow is expected to develop across West Central and Central Minnesota, and push into neighboring Wisconsin overnight. The system is projected to drop two to four inches of snow. Heavy winds of 15 to 25 mph will develop behind this system overnight, which will create blowing and drifting snow.

Temperatures will drop back down below the 20-degree mark.

Drivers are encourages to take caution, particularly on overpasses and bridges, Monday night and during the Tuesday morning commute.
