Woodbury Kids! Name the Lookout Ridge Owl

As the 10th anniversary of the Central Park facility comes up, staff has a new logo for the play area, and wants Woodbury children to name that owl.

Who, who, who can name that owl?

More than 30,000 children come through Woodbury’s Lookout Ridge every year, and city staff is asking them to name the owl that’s part of the new logo.

“We want to find out what the kids can come up with,” said Blaine Beck, facilities coordinator at Central Park. “And we’re excited to see what they suggest. I’m sure we’ll have some interesting ones.”

Children can submit their nominations at Lookout Ridge, located downstairs at Central Park, or visit the city’s website.

The new logo was created by staffer Betty Witte as part of the 10-year anniversary for the Central Park facility, Beck said.

“I love it,” he said of the logo. “We’re very proud of it and we’ve gotten a lot of good feedback. The kids like it, too.”

The winner will be announced at a 10th anniversary event on Nov. 17. Whoever names the owl will also win a prize package.
