Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast Announces 2012 Keynote Speakers

Woodbury residents Todd and Kellie Stocker will share their story under this year's theme: "Life Interrupted…Faith During Adversity."

Todd and Kellie Stocker—whose daughter Makenzie was killed in a 2009 car accident in Texas—will be the keynote speakers for the 2012 Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast.

The Woodbury residents will speak as part of this year’s theme: Life Interrupted…Faith During Adversity.”

The Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast is set for 6:55-8:55 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at the Prom Center in Oakdale.

The couple has  “a passion for serving God through writing, speaking, leading worship and offering encouragement to others in their daily journey,” according to a press release about the upcoming event.

Kellie is a stay-at-home mom who travels the country sharing her story and how their faith in Christ during adversity carried them through.

Todd is the campus chaplain at Concordia University in St. Paul, and founder of PurposeResourcing.com, a company designed to help people “discover, develop and deploy their purpose in life.”

Woodbury Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens will greet attendees and share opening remarks during the prayer breakfast, which also includes music and a prayer from city leaders. Kevin Rische, general manager of 88.1 WAJC-FM, Minnesota’s newest radio station (www.88wajc.com), will also speak about his faith in Christ.

Registration for the 2012 Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast begins at 6:30 a.m. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected and given to the Woodbury Christian Cupboard Food Shelf.
