The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Woodbury area. Between 6-10 inches of snow is expected to fall across the east metro through Tuesday afternoon.

A winter storm warning is in effect for the Woodbury area through Tuesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service expects that two periods of heavy snow—with accumulation of 6-10 inches—across the east metro over the next 48 hours.

According to the NWS:

THE AXIS OF HIGHEST SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION IS FORECAST NEAR THE MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN BORDER AREA. SOME STORM TOTALS COULD APPROACH 12 INCHES.

Winter Parking in Woodbury

The city's winter-parking rules run from Nov. 1 to April 1, banning on-street parking between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

City ordinance also prohibits on-street parking any time two or more inches of snow have accumulated, until after the street has been completely plowed. The two-inch guideline applies to any hour of the day, any time of year.

Fire Hydrants

Residents are asked to keep snow cleared from around fire hydrants. Woodbury also recognizes its "hydrant heroes."

For more information, visit the city's website.
