Woodbury Woman’s Sweet Horse Has Sweet Tooth

Gwen Pacyga posted a cute video of her horse enjoying a sucker on Youtube.

Woodbury resident Gwen Pacyga says her horse's favorite treat is usually apples. Tabitha eats them gently, a bite at a time.

"She's very polite," Pacyga said.

But when Pacyga gave the horse a sucker recently, it was a little different.

“It was a total tug of war,” said Pacyga, who has lived in Woodbury for four and a half years. “She was really mad at me for not giving her the sucker, but I didn’t know what to do with the stick on there. I didn’t want her to swallow the stick. … She wasn’t so happy about it.”

She posted the video on Youtube.

It was the first time she had given Tabitha, an Arabian, a sucker.

“I had no idea she’d be all about it,” Pacyga said.

Pacyga has had the horse since she was 12 years old and keeps 20-year-old Tabitha stabled at Strohfus Stock Farm in Afton. Pacyga has been into horseback riding since she was 11.
