Ten-year old Pasha Amble is a Renaissance boy and he has the Washington County Fair ribbons to prove it

When Pasha Amble isn't practicing the piano in his Woodbury home, he might be found working on a painting -- acrylics and watercolors are his specialties--or drawing.  While Pasha does it all for fun, his talents have definitely been recognized.

Pasha took second place in the Pre-Teen Talent Contest at the Washington County Fair this past week, playing a rendition of "Midnight Escapade", a piece he selected himself for the competition.

When asked if Pasha gets nervous before performing in front of an audience, his mom, Becky, said "only a little" and added that her son "was pretty happy" about finishing in second place.

In terms of his efforts in the visual arts, Pasha won five blue ribbons, including one Grand Champion award, for his paintings.  An artist since the age of 4, this is not the first time Pasha has received recognition for his work -- he has won ribbons in past Washington County Fair and Minnesota State Fair competitions.

Pasha will be a fourth grader at Newport Elementary this year; his favorite subjects are art, reading and math. And when he's not painting or practicing classical pieces on the piano three to four hours per week, he's still creating -- Pasha loves to play with Legos.
