Woodbury Author Brian Freeman Wins Thriller Award

Spilled Blood earned Freeman the 2013 award for Best Hardcover Novel from the International Thriller Writers.

Before the release of Spilled Blood last spring, Woodbury author Brian Freeman told Patch the novel was “possibly my favorite book.”

Spilled Blood—which actually does not feature his Jonathan Stride character—notched the 2013 award for Best Hardcover Novel from the International Thriller Writers during the July 10-13 ThrillerFest in New York City.

The winner in that category last year was Stephen King.

On his Facebook page, Freeman said: “If someone had told me 10 years ago that I would be in this position today, I never would have believed them. This is the fulfillment of a dream. And what it makes me want to do is go home and write more books.”
