Woodbury resident Annie Ballantine is an interior designer.

But it’s her own exterior that will be on display next week at the Mall of America as she takes the runway for a fashion show put on by St. Catherine University.

Ballantine, owner of Annie Ballantine Designs, said she’s excited about the fashion show, and hopes draw on her experience doing pageants as a teenager for the March 7 event.

“That’s the closest I’ve ever come to being in a fashion show,” Ballantine said. “But hopefully that experience will serve me well.”

She serves as an adjunct professor at St. Kate’s, teaching interior design courses, and for the fashion show her clothing will be styled by a St. Kate's fashion merchandising student (with clothing from Ann Taylor). Ballantine isn’t sure what she will be wearing yet.

The fashion show is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Mall of America. It’s free to attend. For more information, visit the St. Kate’s website.
