Hazardous Weather Outlook for Woodbury

The National Weather Service warns Washington County residents of potential flooding over the next few days.

Today at 3:02 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of central and southern Minnesota, including Washington County and Woodbury.

This is the second batch of poor weather of late. Recent storms in Woodbury caused and a home was hit by lightning on Thursday: .

Friday's report said thunderstorms would develop this evening and continue through Sunday, with an isolated threat of severe storms producing hail and strong winds over south central Minnesota.

According to the National Weather Service:

"Runoff from the recent rains during the past couple of days have caused some minor rises of rivers and streams. Recreational interests and boaters should stay aware of potential flooding hazards. If flooding is observed or becomes imminent you should quickly move to higher ground."
