‘100 Percent Spin,’ Torque Studio Cycle to Open in Woodbury

The workout studio, solely dedicated to spinning classes, will open at 8160 Coller Way.

Torque Studio Cycle is set to open in Woodbury later this month.

The exercise studio offers indoor cycling classes, “100 percent spin,” said partner Jason Kramer, who lives in Woodbury.

It will open at 8160 Coller Way, near Great Harvest Bread Co. An open house is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, and Torque will offer a free first class for those interested. Torque Studio Cycle will open that weekend.

On its approximately 2,000-square-foot studio floor there will be 40 stationary bicycles, and people will have the chance to reserve them in advance online, said Kramer, who enjoys competing in triathlons.

The appeal of spin classes, he said, is “the music and being part of a team.”

“Think of it like being in a pack in the Tour de France going up the mountains,” Kramer said.

Seven trainers have already been hired at Torque, which will be open seven days a week. The owner is Greg DeNunzio.

An official grand opening will likely be held in February.
