Bites Nearby: Reve 324 Serves Up Fabulous Fare For All Ages

Whether you're looking for a trendy place to take a client, an intimate spot for a date or a fun Saturday night out with the family, Reve 324 fits the bill.

Nestled in the former downtown Starbucks location in Stillwater is a new restaurant called Reve 324. Brothers Matt and Nate Stabenow, owners of Reve 324, have created an intimate, trendy and yes, even family-friendly atmosphere.

“When we first opened, we were an order-at-the-counter bistro of sorts,” said Nate Stabenow. “However, shortly after we opened, patrons were telling us they were seeking more of a full-service restaurant with reasonably priced menu items."

The Stabenow brother's took heed  to what their guests were saying, and it has paid off. Reve 324’s classy atmosphere and moderate pricing makes for an ideal spot to conduct a business lunch.

If you’re looking for a light bite to eat during a luncheon, try the Citrus Spinach Salad ($8). Served with fresh-baked ciabatta, this colorful salad is made with fresh spinach leaves, toasted almonds, crunchy jicama, shredded carrots, red-ripe tomatoes, and then tossed in a lemon-orange vinaigrette. For a few dollars more, add grilled chicken or medium-rare tuna.

Parents looking for a fun family outing, should hit Reve 324 on Saturday evenings from 7-10 p.m. Every Saturday night, acoustic music entertains the young and old at heart.

Kids will enjoy eating the four Mini-Burgers with chips from the appetizer menu ($10.50). Two, two-ounce burgers are topped with creamy Boursin poblano cheese spread, and the other two burgers are topped with cheddar, crispy bacon and barbecue sauce. The best part? There’s enough to split this appetizer up and picky eaters can order these plain, if needed.

Steak lovers will not want to miss the Grilled Sirloin ($20). This juicy, eight-ounce grilled sirloin is topped with a sweet onion, merlot and mushroom reduction, and is served with a side of creamy blue cheese and asparagus risotto.  Make it a perfect pairing and order a glass of Aquinas Cabernet ($8.50).

If you’re watching your budget, hit Reve 324 up during their happy hour, Monday-Friday from 4-6 p.m. House wines cost $3/glass and domestic beers are just $2. Wine pours are generous and small plate appetizers are offered at a reduced price.

Reservations are highly recommended for dining on weekend nights.
