Brief: Former Woodbury Mayor Hargis Joins Son At Financial Firm

Bill Hargis announced Monday that he has joined AXA Advisors.

Former Woodbury Mayor Bill Hargis announced Monday that he recently joined AXA Advisors, LLC, as a financial professional with Stohlmann Hargis Financial Group in Woodbury.

In the role, Hargis will serve as a financial adviser but continue his recent association with Growth Resource Partners, LLC, a real estate brokerage firm that focuses on senior housing, according to a press release.

In the release, Hargis said he joined AXA Advisors because he has seen the company “grow and evolve into a leader in the financial industry.”

This also gives him the chance to work with his son, Mark, who has been in the industry for 18 months after 10 years of college coaching. Mark has encouraged his father to team up with Gary Stohlmann.

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with Bill and look forward to his leadership and estate planning knowledge as a resource for our new and existing clients,” Stohlmann said in a statement.
