CherryBerry Frozen Yogurt Shop To Open In Woodbury

The shop, set to open in Tamarack Village, lets people create their own frozen concoctions.

Think it would be fun to mix up your own frozen treat?

You’ll soon have the chance: CherryBerry Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt is set to open in Woodbury by the end of the month.

The Woodbury shop is scheduled to open in on March 29, said Dan Nelson, 34, who runs all the Minnesota CherryBerry stores.

CherryBerry shops have 12-16 flavors of frozen yogurt and about 50 toppings for customers to choose from, Nelson said. There will be fresh fruit, cut daily, he said.

“But we’ll still have cookie dough and candy pieces,” Nelson said. “It’s a great product—not what I remember about frozen yogurt as a youngster.”

The store will seat about 75 people inside and 20 outside during warm-weather months, he said. Thirty to 40 people will be hired to run the shop at 8390 Tamarack Village.

Workers on Monday were getting the store ready, and a sign from a shop window announces CherryBerry coming to Woodbury.

The store will also feature a party room that people can reserve for free, Nelson said. The room will have its own television and DVD player, and capabilities for presentations.

The Oklahoma-based company has dozens of locations across the country.
