Dana's Closes, The Woods Coming to Woodbury

The new store is expected to open this summer.

The Woods, a handmade products retailer known for its Christmas line, is planning to open this summer in Woodbury’s Tamarack Village.

Work is underway at the former Dana’s Apparel location.

The Woods is closing its Roseville store and moving operations to Woodbury, said Dave Looney, owner.

The move will more than double its square footage—from 2,000 to 4,600—and allow the company to showcase more items, he said.

The goal is to open by Aug. 1, Looney said.

“We’re excited to get out here,” he said.

According to the Patch listing for its Maple Grove location:

The Woods is a retailer of a wide range of handmade products. This includes candles, clothing, collectibles, dining ware, home décor products, jewelry and boxes. Additionally, it offers seasonal gifts, as well as personal and home care products. A catalog of the Woods’ product offerings can be accessed and ordered through the company website.

Many of the employees from the Roseville store will come over to Woodbury, but there will also be new hires, Looney said.

As for why The Woods is coming to Woodbury, “Its demographics fit our target market,” he said.

The Woods is going in at 3800 Tamarack Village, suite 110.
