E-Cigarette Store, Lounge to Open in Woodbury

Smokeless Smoking plans to open this winter in Woodbury's City Centre.

Smokeless Smoking will soon be firing up in Woodbury.

The e-cigarette store and lounge is set to open at 8470 City Centre Drive, near Von Hanson’s Meats, sometime this winter, said Angie Griffith, part owner.

It will sell its own line of e-cigarette products, including kits that range from $30 to $250.

In addition to a retail area, the space will feature couches and chairs and mimic a cigar lounge, Griffith said.

People don’t smoke e-cigarettes, she said, they “vape.”

The nicotine is delivered in a cylindrical device using e-liquid, which comes in a variety of flavors, some of which are meant to taste like popular cigarette brands such as Marlboro or Camel, Griffith said.

Staff will be on hand to answer people’s questions. The shop is expected to open in about six weeks.

The industry is growing, and Smokeless Smoking wanted to gain a foothold in Woodbury, Griffith said. The company has four other locations in Minnesota, and is working on another spot in addition to Woodbury.

While there is no state law regarding “vaping,” Griffith did note that there are restrictions in place in Hennepin County and Duluth. She pointed Patch to a recent article on the topic.

Ten to 15 employees will be hired, Griffith said.
