Hobby Lobby Plans to Open New Store in Woodbury

The arts and crafts store expects to open after the first of the year in Woodbury.

Hobby Lobby, an arts and crafts store, plans to open in the former Sportsman’s Warehouse location in Woodbury.

“We are really excited to become part of the community,” according to the Vince Parker of Hobby Lobby, who confirmed the lease agreement.

The store expects to open its doors sometime after the first of the year, Parker said.

Hobby Lobby has more than 550 stores nationwide, averaging 55,000 square feet and offering more than 67,000 crafting and home-decor products.

Founded in 1972, Hobby Lobby operates “in a manner consistent with biblical principles,” according to its website, and is not open Sundays. Find more on its ministry on the site.
