Natasha Fleischman from Great Harvest Bread Co. stopped by, and we just got done chatting with state Rep. Andrea Kieffer. There's a buzz about the place right now as vendors are getting set up.

The Tropical Ballroom folks put on a cool show, and the jugglers are wrapping things up. Lots of people stopping by, including folks from the Lions, Girl Scouts and others. Couple story ideas too. And check out more photos from this morning.

12:35 p.m.

Ronald McDonald is on stage now. Just got done with another lap or two. Tons of people here—maybe it's the snow bringing them in. Talked to a few people who said last year—when it rained all day—was busy. The crazy hair booth at Footprints was popular. Food court is busy too.

1:18 p.m.

Put some new photos up. The girls dressed up as a bunny and duck from St. Ambrose Academy are trolling the aisles, handing out candy. The School of Rock band just finished up a set. The bouncy thing came down a few minutes ago. Barb Brown, the District 833 communications director, was counting people for a bit at the door. She reports that we had about 2,000 visitors at a 12:34 p.m.

2:31 p.m.

The bouncy thing is back up, and the raptor presentation is pretty cool. One girl asked if the falcon was from Minnesota. (It's from Mankato.) Turnout seems pretty strong. Lots of people from Woodbury, but some from the area surrounding Woodbury and St. Paul. It's fun to hear from those who know about Patch. The police blotter is a winner. Also cool to see so many civic organizations, the guy from the Lions who stopped by was particularly nice.

3:09 p.m.

Things are starting to wind down a bit. Couldn't get exact attendance numbers, but the woman at the door said she had about 750 since the last count. The emcee is pushing the raffle items—$12,000 worth of gifts and services are being given away today.
