MinuteClinic recently opened a new walk-in clinic inside the at 8468 Tamarack Road in Woodbury.
It’s the second one to open in Woodbury—there is a MinuteClinic at the other .
“Since opening our first store-based clinic in Minnesota in 2003, we have helped to expand access to high-quality, convenient and affordable care to thousands of residents who have visited us at convenient CVS/pharmacy locations near where they live and work,” Dr. Andrew Sussman, MinuteClinic president and senior vice president/associate chief medical officer, CVS Caremark Corporation, said in a release. “We are committed to making our innovative model of care part of Minnesota’s efforts to broaden access to quality health services.”
MinuteClinic is open seven days a week; no appointments necessary. For patients paying cash or credit, treatment prices are posted at each clinic and on its website. The cost for most treatment starts at $79, according to the release.
MinuteClinic nurse practitioners can diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for common illnesses, including strep throat and ear, eye, sinus, bladder and bronchial infections, the release says. Walk-in camp, sports, and college physicals for adolescents are available daily.
No appointments are required and most health insurance is accepted.
It’s MinuteClinic’s fourth location in Washington County. The new Woodbury locations are part of MinuteClinic’s plan to open 100 new clinics nationwide in 2012.
The Woodbury clinics operate from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
