New Salon Opens in Woodbury

Colors, cuts, extensions, waxing and spray tans are available at bella beau salon/spa, which opened Tuesday in Woodbury.

Located at 9885 Hudson Road, next to Staples, bella beau will offer additional spa services—massages, pedicures, manicures and more—in the coming weeks, said Trisha Remackel, who created the salon with Jenny Holdredge.

Remackel has worked as a stylist for the past 13 years, most recently at the HAIRitage ‘Hous in Lake Elmo.

Opening the new salon was “definitely the next step in my career,” she said. “It’s something I always wanted to do.”

So far, the independent salon has seen many customers coming in for its Bumble and bumble. and Kerastase products, which are only sold in Woodbury at bella beau.

“One woman said she had been ordering them online, then signed up for an appointment,” Remackel said.

Eight stylists currently work at bella beau, and more will be added to fill the 14 stations, she said. Haircuts for women top out at $50, though those stylists have years of experience.

“There’s a price point for everybody,” she said. “We’re trying to make sure people can afford to come here and still enjoy the experience.”

Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It’s closed Sunday and Monday.

Remackel and Holdredge created the salon together and work as partners. Remackel's primary roles: selection of retail product lines, services offered, marketing, staff selection, and running the day to day on-site salon operations. Holdredge's primary roles: salon interior design, general contractor for build-out, financing, marketing and running behind the scenes operations.
