Snapshot: New Dynasty Buffet in Woodbury

New Dynasty Buffet came to Woodbury from Austin, Minn., where it was called China Star, manager Vivian Liu said. The restaurant also partners with Bloomington's 98 Pounds Buffet, from which the Woodbury spot will take its sushi recipes, Liu said.
The change includes an improved menu and sushi bar, she said, and a new head cook was hired, as well.
Asked about the recent changes to the space and how New Dynasty Buffet will be successful there, Liu said: “We will try very hard and bring the best food and service we can.”
New Dynasty Buffet would mark one of several changes to the area. Punch Pizza is planning to open soon in the FexEx building, and the Kelly Gallery recently moved to the space next door to Caribou Coffee.
