The bakery offers “upscale pastries” in a mixture of European and American varieties, said owner Lymarie Jimenez, who has been working in restaurants since she was 15 and has culinary experience in Paris.
Sugar Love Bakery was established in 2011, and Jimenez has been working out of a commercial kitchen, primarily creating cupcakes, cookies, tarts, cakes, tortes and the like for weddings and other events.
The hope is to open in late December or early January in the buildings under construction at Tamarack Hills, located at Bielenberg Drive and Tamarack Road.
Jimenez told Patch she has a strong social media following and had always wanted to move from doing events to having retail space.
Sugar Love Bakery joins at least two other businesses planned at the new Tamarack Hills buildings.
