Vinnie's Family Restaurant in Woodbury Closes

The closure of the restaurant, which opened in February, was a surprise, according to the leasing broker for Eagle Valley Marketplace in Woodbury.

Vinnie’s Family Restaurant quietly closed its doors Monday morning.

The closure came as a surprise, according to Tammy Medina, leasing broker for Town Lake Real Estate. The restaurant’s equipment was gone; she heard the news from the property manager.

Vinnie’s opened in the former Tinucci’s space at 2190 Eagle Creek Lane in February.

A few customers went up to the doors Monday, Aug. 12, and were also surprised to hear of its closing.

A phone call to owner Vinnie Mustafoski was not immediately returned. Medina said she has yet to speak to him as of Monday morning.

“It’s unfortunate, because it was the only place on this side of town that served breakfast,” she said.

Still, Medina already Monday morning had shown the space to another potential client. There is also interest at the former Yum! Ice Cream and Candy Shoppe at Eagle Valley Marketplace, she said.

Medina said Vinnie’s Family Restaurant was busy when it first opened, and she did hear some concerns about the Woodbury Drive construction negatively impacting business, but not to the point at which she thought it was in danger of closing.
