Woodbury’s Kelley Gallery Now Open in New Location

The old Kelly Gallery space is set to become a Jake's Wayback Burgers.

Kelley Gallery had its soft opening Friday, April 5, as workers were putting the finishing touches on a move from its previous location.

“We should be good to go (Saturday),” said A.K. Lawrence, an artist who works part-time at Kelley Gallery.

The framing and art gallery, owned by Don Kelley, had been at 8470 City Centre Drive in Woodbury for more than two decades. Kelley said he made the move to take advantage of more foot traffic.

The bulk move was completed in about a week, Lawrence said. It wasn’t far. It’s now open at 8320 City Centre Drive, next door to Caribou Coffee.

The old Kelley Gallery location is set to become a Jake’s Wayback Burgers, officials with the burger chain told Patch last month. An opening date hasn't been set.

Kelley said initially opened the framing gallery in 1985, and moved it to Woodbury in 1987 at the shops near Holiday Stationstore. He moved the business to its current location in 1990.

The new Kelley Gallery location has previously housed a flower shop and clothing boutique.
