Woodbury’s Kelly Gallery on the Move

After more than 20 years at its current location, Kelly Gallery expects to have a new home in Woodbury by the first week of April.

Kelly Gallery is moving from its current location to the vacant space next door to Caribou Coffee in Woodbury’s City Centre.

The move should garner more foot traffic for the framing gallery, said owner Don Kelly, pointing to the coffee shop, Bruegger’s Bagels and the spring opening of Punch Pizza.

“I’m excited,” he said, noting that his Hudson, Wis., location does well with walk-up customers.

Kelly Gallery will still provide framing and showcase artists’ work, but there will be a new focus on gifts—custom purses, scarves and jewelry, for example, said Kelly, who lives in Woodbury.

Kelly Gallery has been at 8470 City Centre Drive for more than two decades, he said.

He initially opened the framing gallery in 1985, and moved it to Woodbury in 1987 at the shops near Holiday Stationstore. Kelly said he moved the business to its current location in 1990.

The new location, at 8320 City Centre Drive, has previously housed a flower shop and clothing boutique.

Kelly said he hopes to have the move complete during the first week of April.
