‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Powers Up Woodbury 10 Theatre for Record-Breaking Weekend

The Disney movie about characters from arcade games sold out nearly every show at the independent theater.

The success of Wreck-It Ralph helped Woodbury 10 Theatre set a weekend attendance record.

Nathan Block, one of the owners of the independent movie theater, wouldn’t discuss specific numbers with Patch, but did say nearly every showing of Wreck-It Ralph sold out over the weekend.

November and December are typically good months for Woodbury 10 because that’s when many big movies come out each year, Block said, pointing to this weekend’s opening of the 007 thriller Skyfall.

Cloud Atlas, however, hasn’t fared as well. “Like every other theater in the country,” Block said.

The movie theater did sell plenty of popcorn, he said.
