Meet the New Woodbury Police K-9

Bosco is a 19-month-old German shepherd from Slovakia.

The Woodbury Public Safety Department on Wednesday introduced its newest K-9 partner, Bosco, a male German shepherd from Slovakia.

Bosco made the trip across the Atlantic and spent a night at a St. Paul kennel before meeting his handler, officer Tom Ehrenberg, according to a release.

Woodbury police are also awaiting another K-9 addition, which the department hopes to announce next week. Both the dogs and their handlers will start a 13-week training program in March at St. Paul Canine Training Center.
