Rewind: Missing Man, Major Roadwork Project, Blotter Breakout

Taking a look back at the news of the week in Woodbury.

In case you missed some of the week’s top stories, here’s a recap.

Monday

Full disclosure, the editor’s good friend is a paid-on-call firefighter in another city. He says it’s very rewarding.

I received a few submissions from parents this week. If you want to recognize your college student, email me at kris.janisch@patch.com.

Tuesday

A Fridley man was recently convicted of domestic assault after he choked his ex-girlfriend, threw her on the ground and said he would put her head through a window.

Nothing better than relaxing with a book at the cabin. What are you reading this summer? (Angela's Angle)

Wednesday

News broke late Wednesday night, glad to see he came away unscathed.

These are always nice events and a good way to meet your neighbors and the Public Safety Department.

Thursday

You always see those “mark your calendar” things… Probably should this time.

What’s it like for a 15-year-old at the Woodbury trials? Find out from this young swimmer.

Friday

Nice to see Woodbury folks donating their time.

Always a lot of big names around town on these lists.

Saturday

One nugget: A home at the 2600 block of Windsor Lane was toilet-papered. The homeowner told Patch that “I was more upset that I missed the Grand Finals of the EVO World Championship Series because of it.”

Big list this week, and Shawn Hogendorf (Stillwater Patch editor) has been adding Lake Elmo to the list.
