Snow Falls in Woodbury

A wintery mix, which included some snowflakes, was falling Thursday afternoon in Woodbury. Are you looking forward to winter? Tell us in the comments section.

At least a few wet snowflakes were flying in Woodbury on Thursday afternoon.

It was a wintry mix, and the snow wasn't sticking, but it was the first few flakes of the season for the city.

The rain and snow was expected to continue until about 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The forecast said there could be less than half an inch of accumulation, though that seemed unlikely around 12:45 p.m. Thursday.

Friday is expected to be sunny with a high of 41.

Are you looking forward to winter or dreading it? Tell us in the comments section.

The snow seems to be picking up too.

I'd like to flag this whole story as "inappropriate"...
You can put me in the "dreading it" category. Although if we get a winter like we had 2 years ago where it actually snowed that wouldn't be too bad. What I don't like are the 15 degree days with nothing but brown turf!

My favorite season is fall, so I'd rather see it last a bit longer before we get snow. But I agree that if it's going to be cold anyway, I'd rather see some snow on the ground.

I will handle subzero temps with a smile as long as I don't have to snow blow my driveway too often.

My son wants it the other way, warmer temps while waiting for the school bus and snow days every Monday.

I just hate the bitter cold, really.

Can you be more specific as to where in Woodbury Bella went missing?

I emailed Amy. The dog has been found.
