Update: I-94 Lane Closures to Begin Thursday Night
MnDOT delayed the closures because of weather.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced Thursday that lane closures along Interstate 94 were delayed due to weather.
The left lane on both east- and westbound I-94 between Century Avenue and the Interstate 694/494 interchange will be closed starting at 7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, May 2, according to the release.
The lanes were initially set close May 1, but the work was delayed due to weather.

Crews will install “structures for an overhead bridge to support a new electronic traffic sign” for westbound vehicles, according to the release.
The lanes are expected to reopen by May 23.
