Valley Creek Road Construction Update

A Wednesday update from Washington County.

Washington County on Wednesday sent out an update about the Valley Creek Road construction project:

Thank you for your patience during the first few days of construction!  Shutting down a busy intersection is never easy but it will go a long way in providing a quality finished project that will last well in to the future.  The Radio Drive and Valley Creek Road intersection is still restricted to right turns only.  The Contractor will place the first concrete pavement early Thursday morning and again on early Friday morning.  As of now, the closure is scheduled to be opened by the end of the day on Saturday, August 5 but remains subject to change.  Please continue to find alternate routes.

There have been a few questions about pedestrian access.  Pedestrians should be able to use all of the separated trails and most intersections as normal.  Since the Contractor is working in the intersection of Radio Drive and Valley Creek Road, pedestrians should cross Valley Creek Road either at Donegal Drive/Central Park Place or City Centre Drive.  Radio Drive crossings can be made on the non-work side of the road closure barriers.
