Valley Creek Road Construction Update

An update on the Valley Creek Road construction project from Washington County on Aug. 8:

The Contractor completed work inside the Valley Creek Road and Radio Drive intersection over the weekend. Traffic is now open in all directions at Valley Creek Road and Radio Drive.

Work is being completed on the westbound lanes of Valley Creek Road between City Centre Drive and Donegal Drive/Central Park Place. Traffic on Valley Creek Road is reduced to one lane in each direction on the south side of the road with an all-way stop at the Radio Drive intersection and at Donegal Drive/Central Park Place. 

During this phase and the next phase, City Centre Drive is restricted to right-in right-out only. If you are coming from the east and wish to go to city hall, you will not be able to make a left hand turn from Valley Creek Road. U-turns are allowed at the Tower Drive traffic signal. 

Please plan accordingly if you are going to travel in the project area. Delays are expected, so use an alternate route if you can.

The work on the westbound lanes is scheduled to be completed by the end of the day this Saturday, August 11, 2012, but is subject to change. The next phase of the construction will switch traffic on Valley Creek Road to the newly paved westbound lanes, one lane in each direction. This will allow the contractor to complete work on eastbound lanes between City Centre Drive and Donegal Drive/Central Park Place.
