Update: Missing Man Found in Woodbury

Woodbury authorities were looking for the man, who has Alzheimer's, on Wednesday night.

Update: 9:30 pm., Wednesday, July 11

The elderly man with Alzheimer's who went missing in Woodbury on Wednesday night has been found.

He had wandered into a neighbor's house, which was unlocked, said Woodbury Police Sgt. John Altman.

No one was home at the time, and when the resident returned to his house, "The guy opened the door for him," Altman told Patch.

The 2300 block of Robinwood Trail, where the man lives, is lined with similar-looking townhomes, Altman said, and the man might have gotten confused about which home was his.

The man was fine, he said. "All is well."

A call at about 9:40 p.m. from Washington County's system said the man is "safe at home with his family."

Original post:

is looking for a missing 83-year-old man with Alzheimer’s Disease.

The man, Clare Longsdorf, was last seen at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the 2300 block of Robinwood Way, according to a call from the city’s emergency notification system. (The spelling of his name has been updated. Altman also said later that it was Robinwood Trail.)

The man is about 5-foot-3 with a slight build, and was wearing a light gray sweatshirt and beige shorts, the notice said. He has white hair.

He likes sports, so he may be near a ball field, the notification said.

The notification from the city went out at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 11.

One Woodbury resident, Barb Neubauer, said she saw a helicopter circling near . She said she saw several police vehicles in the area, as well.

Anyone who has seen the man is asked to call 911.

Thank goodness he was safe and sound. We were looking in the park and there was no shortage of the community out there trying to help. I love when Woodbury comes together.

Absolutely Tracy, and good to hear that there were so many in the community willing to lend a hand.

So does anyone know why the helicopter was up and flying low over Woodbury again around 12 o'clock last night?

Just talked to the Woodbury dispatcher. Didn't see anything in the reports.

This is the most important work, I have ever completed. Please help me make this link below go viral. Please add it to twitter, Facebook, your web site and place it on other websites in comments sections. If this can become viral, this will definitely have a huge impact on Alzheimer’s perception. http://youtu.be/oXKO1Qr5qf0 Thanks for your support, Michael Ellenbogen
