Support Woodbury's Community Orchestra in Give to the Max Day

Each year generous supporters, like you, show support for their favorite organizations during the 24-hour annual Give to the Max Day.  This year Woodbury's Community Orchestra - the East Metro Symphony Orchestra - will be taking part and would appreciate your consideration while you participate in this day of support.  Check out our story!

The East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) is an ensemble of dedicated amateur musicians led by two highly qualified professionals: Conductor and Musical Director Elizabeth Prielozny Barnes, and Concertmaster Michal Sobieski; whose mission is to provide a broad range of educational, multicultural, and inspirational orchestral experiences to East Metro communities.  We also strive to:

1.      Educate the orchestra's musicians and audiences by performing a broad range of culturally-diverse, challenging, and entertaining music;

2.      Provide opportunities for life-long avocational musicians and accomplished soloists of all ages to perform with a symphony orchestra; and

3.   Continue the orchestra's tradition since 1957 of providing affordable concerts to East Metro audiences.

As with all good things, it costs money to make our season possible - even with a core of dedicated volunteers doing all of the “behind the scenes” work.  On November 14, Minnesota’s Give to the Max Day, we would appreciate your donation to help us pay for things like performance and rehearsal spaces, sheet music, instrument repairs and advertising, while maintaining affordably priced concert tickets.

By partnering with GiveMN, an online website for Minnesota nonprofits, every gift that we receive on Thursday increases our chances of winning an additional $1,000 for our work in the East Metro.  But, even better than that, at the end of Give to the Max Day, one donation from across Minnesota will be randomly selected for a $10,000 bonus donation through GiveMN!

Any and all gifts made to EMSO will allow us to increase our impact on the community by improving our outreach to the community and providing funds for us to bring our performances to more locations.  And remember, EMSO is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are tax deductible (to the same degree as any other donation you make to an IRS-recognized non-profit).  EMSO thanks you for your generosity!
