Bluegrass Band Concert to Benefit Valley Outreach

Looking for a “rockin’ good time for your family? 


Like old-time bluegrass music? 

Bring your kids, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts and uncles to this benefit concert by the Roe Family Singers at Memorial Lutheran Church in Afton, Sunday, March 9. The music begins at 3 p.m. and will be followed by refreshments. 


The free-will offering from this concert will benefit Valley Outreach, a non-profit serving St. Croix Valley residents in need of food, clothing, household essentials and emergency financial assistance.

Performing since 2004, the Roe Family Singers (Quillan and Kim Roe with several well-known Twin City musicians) has won many awards. To give you an idea: It was named “worlds’s best” at two Battles of the Jug Bands. It has received a McKnight Foundation Fellowship for Performing Musicians. It has won State Fair competitions. And Kim Roe was named Best Female Vocalist by City Pages in 2006.
