College Prep: What to Do? Where to Start? And When?

 ,   Add to calendar
 Woodbury  See map

This course provides an overview of what to expect on the often confusing path towards college admissions.  The information can benefit parents/students as early as ninth grade. Discover what college admissions is all about and create a personal plan of action. We will review GPA’s, college visits, when to start, what colleges are looking for, the ACT/SAT tests, scholarships (need-based vs. merit-based), the application essay, teacher references, and much more. This is not a one-size fits all generic overview, but rather will help parent and students define goals, identify missed points on an ACT diagnostic test, and create an individualized review plan. This plan will help your students receive a personal best score on the ACT test. $49 per family (students and/or parents encouraged to attend).
