Hands-Only CPR
Woodbury Public Safety is hosting a Hands-Only CPR session February 9, 2013 at 9:00 am. Participant will learn and perform the simple steps of Hands-Only CPR and how to work an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). Hands-Only CPR is a simplified method of CPR that requires no mouth-to-mouth breathing. It was created to build bystander confidence and improve public participation to assist an adult who suddenly collapses from cardiac arrest. Hands-Only CPR performed by a bystander has been shown to be as effective as conventional CPR in the first few minutes of an out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest.
