Contrary to popular belief, couples promising their “I do’s” DO NOT LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. Marriage does have its moments of happy, but it is hard, it is ugly, and it is unpredictable. Author Meagan Frank offers insight about the possible hazards of married life. She’ll share some ideas and research about the best ways to navigate the pitfalls so you and your spouse can realistically enjoy the ride. She’ll cover topics including: preparing to be married, the first years of coming together, the in-laws, the arrival of children, the inability to have children, grief and loss, aging, and the big life stressors. The presentation will include time for small-group discussion.
