Tabata interval training is one of the most effective types of high intensity interval training. Through a variety of simple, yet intense exercises, each class will blast the calories and provide noticeable results in a short amount of time. Whether your goal is muscle tone, weight loss, or both, Tabata can help. Class begins with a short warm-up followed by a series of four minute exercise sequences. Each sequence is broken into eight 20/10 intervals (20 seconds of intense work followed by 10 seconds of rest). Class will end with a short cool down and stretch. What can you expect? Improved balance, strength and cardio endurance as well as improved "proprioception" (awareness of where you are in space). Wear loose fitting, workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow, and wear gym shoes with a comfortable fit. Please bring a set of hand weights, water and a towel.
