Open House at Cottage Grove's Business Enterprise Center (BEC)

In March 2013, the Cottage Grove Business Enterprise
Center—or BEC—opened its doors in the former Cottage Grove City Hall located at
7516 80th Street S.

With five new tenants on-board and additional
remodeling and updating completed, an open house to showcase the space is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Those
who haven’t visited the building since it housed city staff may be surprised at
the changes inside.

GopherMods, Conexspace, LLC, Premier Biotech Labs, Renew Solar Store and the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce have all moved into the BEC since its opening.

The BEC provides entrepreneurs with affordable work space and

supportive services to increase their chances for business success.  It

offers flexible office space, meeting space, training opportunities, a

mentorship program and the ability to network with other small business owners.

BEC aims for industries that are eligible for the Minnesota
Angel Tax Credit Program (biotechnology, clean technology, IT, and more),
production services like computerized machining and others with potential for
high-quality job growth.

Space is still available for business that fit the
targeted criteria. Call 651-458-2833 for more information.
