Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Some of the best cooks at Christ Church are scoping out pancake recipes for this year's Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper -- we hope you'll join us to see which delicious recipe is best!

Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of Lent. The pancake supper is an old Anglican tradition, where people use up rich food like butter, eggs and sugar before the "fasting" season of Lent, with its tradition of plainer fare. And at Christ Church, this tradition includes lots of great conversation and laughter around brightly decorated, festive tables.

This year, we will serve pancakes from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4. Come join us for homemade pancakes, along with sausage and applesauce. You'll be supporting our Quest Youth Group as they raise money for their mission trip in 2015 -- and enjoying the company of family and friends at the dinner!

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students, with a max of $30 per family. Tickets will be sold at the event, but you can also avoid lines by buying tickets on Sunday mornings from a youth group member.
