South Washington Conservation Corridor Restoration Event

8:30am – 12:30pm
Woodbury/Cottage Grove border, MN
Volunteers: 150 Supervisors: 15

Volunteers will plant native wildflower and grass seed on 30 acres in the South Washington Conservation Corridor, an important greenway that provides an important habitat corridor and critical storage for stormwater runoff in the event of a significant rainfall. These mixes are designed to increase native flower and grass diversity in recently restored sections of this project. Volunteers will spread seed in designated areas of the site. This activity will help Great River Greening conduct research on the impacts of biomass harvest on biological diversity.

This project is made possible with support from the South Washington Watershed District and the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.

Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, please visit: http://www.greatrivergreening.org/events/s-washington-c/
