The Rev. Jeanne Lloyd will speak about the concept of commitment on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Mattatuck Unitarian Universalist Society, 122 South Pomperaug Avenue in Woodbury. " The act of making a commitment in this world at this time is a pretty big concept, given the many demands we experience in our complex lives," she said. " What does the 'c' word mean? Do you find it scary? What's in it for us, at a personal level? What are the essential ingredients required to sustain commitment?" she asks. Inspired by the work of Daloz, Keen and Parks, Rev. Lloyd will reflect on these questions.
