Our family has benefited from the work of the March of Dimes as our daughter, Ellery was born seven weeks early with rare and life-threatening conditions and given only a 5% chance to survive. Ellery is here because of a March of Dimes funded therapy that saved her life! Today, she's a happy, healthy 3 year old little girl!
Premature birth is a complex problem with no single solution. More than half a million babies are born prematurely each year in the United States. In up to 40 percent of cases, the cause is unknown. March of Dimes researchers are seeking the causes of prematurity as a step toward developing ways to prevent it.
