The Relay for Life of South Washington County begins Friday evening, when nearly 1,500 people will walk around the track at for 14 hours as part of a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The event runs from 6 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday, though there will be activities beforehand starting at 4 p.m. It’s free for the public to attend.
There will be a silent auction, which features a Harmon Killebrew-signed baseball among about 200 items. A band from School of Rock will perform and there will be a large games area.
