Fireworks! Woodbury's 2013 Fourth of July Plans

Events will be held at Ojibway Park.

Live music and concessions—and, of course, fireworks—are on tap for Woodbury’s Fourth of July celebration.

At Ojibway Park, the evening will kick off at 7 p.m. with live music from 8 Foot 4, a dance/rock band that performs songs from the last three decades and contemporary hits.

The celebration culminates with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

All activities are free of charge. Concessions and glow necklaces will be sold on site beginning at 6 p.m.

Ojibway Park is adjacent to Woodbury High School. Parking will be available in the school lot off Woodlane Drive.

Fourth of July festivities will take place rain or shine.

Roads

The city of Woodbury on Tuesday, July 2, sent out a notice about traffic and parking related to the festivities:

Due to the nature and size of the Fourth of July Celebration, traffic delays are expected after the event. Vehicles exiting from a parking lot will be given priority and residential parking will be secondary.

There will be no residential parking on Courtly Road between Woodlane Drive and Kings Drive. Parking also will not be permitted on Wyndam Way between Ojibway Park Drive and Lake Road.

Public Safety will be on hand to direct traffic after the event. Exit routes have been established to help reduce congestion. Please see the Traffic Flow and Parking Map for details on the exit routes established.

Please note that the following roads will be closed after the event:

  • Westbound Lake Road at Radio Drive
  • Eastbound Lake Road at Woodlane Drive
  • Southbound Woodlane Drive at Courtly Road
  • Eastbound Courtly at Woodlane Drive
