Foreclosure Prevention Workshop in Woodbury

The workshop will be held at the R.H. Stafford Library.

The Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) will hold a
mortgage foreclosure prevention workshop 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury.

Trained foreclosure prevention counselors will be on hand to answer questions.

"Anyone who is behind on their mortgage, anyone who is worried about keeping up with mortgage payments, and anyone who wants to know more about the foreclosure process may attend," reads a release from Washington County. "Those who are worried about foreclosure should seek help immediately. Waiting may limit the options."

It's an open house and no pre-registration is required. The workshop will include a 45-minute presentation summarizing the foreclosure process, and people will also have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a foreclosure prevention counselor.

If possible, participants should bring the following:

1) any communication received from a lender or loan servicer;

2) proof of income (e.g., recent pay stub); and

3) a copy of a mortgage statement.

The library is at 8595 Central Park Place in Woodbury.

For more information or to speak with a foreclosure prevention counselor immediately, call the Washington County HRA’s office at 651-202-2822, or visit www.wchra.com.
