Support Royals Football on Give to the Max Day

Woodbury Football--Help keep a Royal safe on Give to the Max Day, Thursday November 15th

Give to the Max Day is coming up on Thursday, November 15th and is a day that Minnesotans help support non-profit groups that are close to their hearts by making a tax deductible donation to those groups.

Woodbury Royals Football has a proud, 37 year tradition at Woodbury High School.  The Woodbury Gridiron Club is the non-profit organization that serves to support the coaching staff at WHS, team activities and equipment needs, and to make the experience for the student athletes involved with Woodbury football a positive one.

With the well-publicized focus on sport-induced concussions, the Woodbury Gridiron Club felt the need to dedicate a substantial amount of money to replacing aging equipment that the team was using, namely helmets and shoulder pads, as well as making a commitment to having all helmets professionally re-conditioned on an annual basis.  When it comes down to basics, the safety of our players has to be the first priority.

While we could not afford to purchase a new helmet for every player, we are hoping to add new helmets each year, and by properly maintaining the equipment, the helmets will benefit kids for years to come.

Many folks in the Woodbury area have kids coming into the program, are alumni of Woodbury High School, may have played for the Royals, or remember the excitement of a Friday night game at Royals Stadium.  The Woodbury Gridiron Club is registered with giveMN.org, and would appreciate your donation. Your gift of any size will make a difference in keeping our kids safe!
