Sunbeam Celebration A Huge Success!

On Saturday, September 28, King of Kings Lutheran Church hosted a fabulous fundraising event for Sunbeam Boys Home on behalf of Sunbeam Association for Mission. The Sunbeam Boys Home, located in Jamaica, is one of King of Kings’ global mission partners. The event was attended by more than 100 team members and guests representing seven churches in four states. Through silent and live auction bidding of items donated by team members from the supporting churches, the event raised enough funds to support a much needed water project, other capital improvements, supplies and groceries for the boys.

King of Kings has supported the home with financial contributions and youth and adult mission trips for many years. The groups help support the needs of the home, bringing food, clothing, personal care products and other requested items. They stay on site with the boys, getting involved with numerous projects like building benches and tables, painting, leading devotions, visiting people in the village, and spending time with the boys.

King of Kings will have three mission trips going to the Sunbeam Boys Home in 2014: an adult trip in January and two youth trips in June and July.
