Help Woodbury Lakes Choose Charity to Receive Proceeds from Girl's Night Out Event

Woodbury Lakes is asking the community to vote on which charity should receive the proceeds from ticket sales at the Girl's Night Out event in May.

Every spring, Woodbury Lakes hosts a Girl's Night Out event that includes shopping, prizes, entertainment, swag bags....it's a great event.

One of the best things about the event though is that each year, we choose a different charity partner to receive 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales.  In years past, we've partnered with The Woodbury Community Foundation, Relay For Life of South Washington County and Mothers and More Twin Cities East/Tubman.

This year, we asked our Facebook fans which charities are near and dear to their hearts.  After receiving 85 suggestions, we chose 5 finalists and are asking the community to visit facebook.com/woodburylakes to vote for the charity that they'd like to see receive the donation. The 5 finalists in no particular order are: Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf, BARK Rescue, The Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund/Children’s Cancer Research Fund, The Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota, and Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

We've written a short post about each of these fantastic charities on our Facebook page.  By "liking" a charity's post, you are voting for them.  At 5PM on Friday, March 8, the charity with the most votes will become our official partner for Girl's Night Out.  They'll not only receive the monetary donation, they'll have the opportunity to be at the event, educating the public about what they do, they'll be included in all collateral and advertising for the event, and we'll do our best to customize the event around them.

So please, remember to go on and vote and encourage your family, friends and co-workers to do the same!
