The good news first. Last night the bills for "Tyler's Law" passed unanimously out of its final committees in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, meaning they have now met all the requirements to go to each of the floors for a full vote. The bills are both heavily supported.
The (possible) bad news. We just found out (probably should have known) that there are no guarantees the bill will come up for a vote in either of the chambers. It is possible that no further action will be taken. If that is the case, it has no chance of becoming a law. Perhaps this is why less than one in 10 bills becomes a law.
It's time to pull out all the stops when lobbying for this bill. We will keep you posted!
